Blair Witch 3: Witch Hunt
After groups of teenagers going missing within the Black Hills woods, an elite crack team of highly skilled soldiers are recruited to find and locate the missing teenagers. Think Rec 2 or Aliens, it's along those lines. Our marines that enter the Forest are revealed to be Seal Team 7, and are all cocksure due to being on numerous dangerous missions with high value targets and VIP's. As they enter the woods they begin to notice suspicious noises and signs similar to those in the pervious films. Except this time the rock piles are 30 feet high and the stick men are the size of entire tree's. The marines naturally assume that this is the work of crazy rednecks trying to scare the local's and continue on their mission.
Our protagonist is called Chuck Steak, and is later revealed to be the best friend of James in Blair Witch, giving him personal stakes within the mission. Other notable characters include Vickie Hargreaves, a strong female lead with romantic designs on Chuck, and the team's loyal attack dog Amadeus Fletch. The team find out about Chuck's relationship with James and called the mission FUBAR due to ever increasing crazy things happening in the woods.
As they go deeper and deeper, they realise that time doesn't function right in the woods, like in Blair Witch, and entire years past for one half of the team whilst the others go back and forth in time. And at one point Vickie see's herself from the past and future interacting with her from her current present through multi-dimensional rifts caused from the Witch's malevolent power.
After running around in the woods for literal years, they find the cabin, except this time it's not just one cabin, but thousands. They realise that the reason they haven't been able to find anyone or a way out is because the Witch controls the very fabric of spacetime, and has the ability to multiple the woods on top of each other, meaning they haven't been walking through just one wood, but thousands. It's as this point they realise that there isn't just one witch, but thousands. The witches begin swirling into an army of evil, as the marines fire wildly in every direction, as each witch is killed, it splits into thousands. Amadeus Fletch gets killed by one witch whom resembles the rock piles seen earlier.
Chuck and Vickie realise that the witch can be stopped by standing the corner of the original cabin, and saying the words out loud 'At first you were angry and then you were sad, but now you are free and no longer bad' which were what the children used to say before they were killed. Vickie dies on the way to the main cabin. Chuck reaches the cabin and finds all the character's from the previous films standing in all corners of the cabin with their names above the corner, he looks and sees his name in an empty corner, and is then grabbed and killed by the original which, who takes the form of 15ft stick figure rock pile.
