My good there are so many good movies!
Thanks for the recommendations! Here's what I've seen so far from your list and my opinion...
The Social Network - Great movie, ranks just outside my "Honorable Mention" list.
Whiplash - Great movie, forgot about this one somehow; just now added to my "Honorable Mention" list.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - Never seen it; added to my Watchlist.
Knives Out - Wasn't the biggest fan of this one, 6/10.
In Bruges - Was Ok but not a huge favorite of mine, 7/10.
Begginers - Never seen it; I'm not the biggest romance/comedy guy around.
Birdman - Great movie, ranks just outside my "Honorable Mention" list.
Silence - Never seen it; not a big fan of religion/religious movies.
Moonrise Kingdom - Very good movie; 8.5/10.
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain - Very good movie; 8.5/10.
The Master - Solid but unspectacular, in my opinion. Love PTA but thought this was just "Good". 7/10.
Blow - This was already in my "Honorable Mention" area at the top of the list.
Manchester by the Sea - Solid but unspectacular, in my opinion; 7/10.
True Grit - Wasn't the biggest fan of this one; 6/10.
Memento - Ranked #22 on my list.
The Departed - Ranked #10 on my list.
Under the Skin - Wasn't the biggest fan of this one; 5/10.
Prisoners - Great movie, ranks just outside my "Honorable Mention" list.
Wind River - Good but not great; 8/10.
Sicario - Great movie, ranks just outside my "Honorable Mention" list.
Green Room - Never seen before; in my Watchlist.
K-Pax - Wasn't the biggest fan of this one; 6/10.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - Great movie, ranks just outside my "Honorable Mention" list.
Many of the movies of your list are on my list with the worst of all time

I totally disagree with your list, since the year 2000 and no LOTR? I don't think so
Interesting list. I will take your love for Oppenheimer in account considering you have my All Time favourite film in 3rd place.
Funny thing is, I love 90% of your picks and hate the other 10%. No middle ground here.
Yep...Requiem sure is a great movie. If you catch me on the right day, I might even say it's my favorite movie too! I've considered it for the top slot on the list as well.
I'm still debating on exactly where to put Oppenheimer, but I really liked it, I even went to the theater twice to see it, a rarity for me. (I also did that for 'Basterds' too). I'm a fan of history and politics and period pieces...and just the way that movie is made and acted, it feels so authentic to me.
Thanks for the reply! If you feel I missed one, let me know please!

Have you seen Napoleon?
I won’t be seeing it at the theatre myself but considering you love history you might want to.
No Country for Old Men is probably my favorite film since 2000.
