Most boring and pretentious movie I've seen in my life!!

I'd rather watch 2001 A Space Odyssey and Citizen Kane ten times in a row than ever watching this snoozefest ever again!

Girl sitting in front of me at the theater was audibly snoring just 40 minutes after the movie started lol, I don't blame her at all.

Go watch Transformers.

Ouch, the OP must have felt that one.

They love proclaiming that The Dark Knight, in being so “realistic”, is somehow the most true to the dark, psychologically intense world of Batman. They say this because:

(a) They want to convince themselves that Batman comics really are intended to be this realistic and intense and

(b) They want to convince others that what they read is so realistic and intense so that they can feel less embarrassment at still reading them in their 20s and 30s. The reason they overrate that movie so much is because so much personal validation is tied into that movie for them. So the more realistic the movies are, the more comic fans will claim to anyone who will listen that they just witness a movie that is exactly like the books they’ve been mocked for reading for decades.

A tard and a snob. Pot meet kettle.

No cinephile should be punished by themselves, or others, for enjoying Batman of all things. There’s also no shame in preferring a more grounded Nolan/Goyer interpretation over Joel Schumacher campfests. Totally valid opinion.

My guess is you’re the one doing the mocking and bullying—so self-righteous in your opinions, as well, that they can only be adequately provided in bold font.

You’re pathetic.

I also think it was pretentious and too much fast paced dialogue that dragged on and on and on. Was intrigued by the first hour tho.

Sounds like how Dunkirk and Tenet was for me, which I have zero motivation to rewatch. I’ll watch OPHeimer once it hits the inevitable streamers.

DITTO

tenet actually did suck but only because the story was bad. the acting and direction was superb. meanwhile, dunkirk actually was good all around. although the subject is hilariously sad. by that i mean, nolan, the british nationalist, wanted so badly to highlight something significant that the british accomplished during ww2 and all he could come up with was a massive retreat. he made it look so good and epic though. literally one single dog fight involve 4 planes in the whole movie but he hyped up the fight much that it was amazing. hahahaha.

Nolan is a genius at making people fall asleep. That is his magic gift to the world. Show some respect

Ok Logan paul

Haha.

This doesn't surprise me. It's overly long and in black and white and it's about a depressing subject that really doesn't have much going for it as regards entertainment. This movie has been hyped so much, but I won't be taken in by it. It looks as boring and it sounds. Not for me.

reply

Is Transformers for you?

reply

it's pathetic how you idiots keep bringing up transformers like the incel insult but for movie fans. guess what? transformers 1 was very good. the fact that you couldnt tell really discredits your ability to judge movies at all.

reply

>> transformers 1 was very good.

Hahaha, thanks - I needed the laugh.

reply

I liked it. It was a little too long, I think.
