I hearby announce...

The recipient of the prestigious Best Actor Oscar for 2023 is none other than Cillian Murphy, for his exceptional performance in "Oppenheimer."

Additionally, it is with great pleasure that I present the Best Director Oscar to Christopher Nolan, for not one, but two compelling reasons:

1. For his gravitas inducing choice in casting Cillian Murphy, a decision that undeniably elevated the film.
2. For his remarkable directorial approach to the film.

This is how it should go next year, and I'll be shocked if it doesn't.

Nolantards are snobs

reply

I'm not a Nolantard, whatever that is. Tenet was abominable. Try again.

reply

This should be Nolan’s win. It was a phenomenal film.

I have a feeling that Downey gets an Oscar and Murphy doesn't...

This might indeed be the case. However, history shows that first-time nominees have secured wins for best actor before, such as Adrian Brody for "The Pianist" and Eddie Redmayne for "The Theory of Everything." While it's possible that a remarkably captivating performance could potentially steal the oscar from Murphy next year, I haven't seen it so far.
