There's always actresses willing to go that one step further than the rest to get the job.
How do you think the casting couch was invented.
Movie producers were just old pencil pushers working books.
Then walks in a hungry, beautiful 20-year-old actress. Desperate for fame. Desperate to climb the ladder, but doesn't want to wait. She wants it now.
Who can make it happen? The producer, so she uses her female charms to get close and go that extra mile to get the role she wouldn't have been considered for.
The first casting couch, I bet the actress was the one asking if they wanted to move to the couch.
Probably half the chicks who made claims about Harvey Weinstein had the same idea.
They wanted that role and were willing to go the extra mile to get it. They knew Harvey liked to play around, and he had the cheat codes to give their career a little boost.
So they sought old Harvey out for some alone time. In return, they zoomed past other rival actresses fighting for the same roles, more honest and probably more talented.
