James Connor was Becky Connors dad so did Dan Connor take Beckys last name when they got married as they all had the surname Connor?

I don't think that information was revealed in the movie, but I've personally known three couples who shared the same last name before becoming married. It seems to be quite common! One couple even have the same birthday. They often joke, "It was meant to be!"

Yes i guess that is possible but in real life that's quite a coincidence but when you're making a film it seems bit strange to have it that way when they could of changed the surname

IMDB has it wrong. Becky and Dan’s last name is Connor. James’ is Conner. Check the end movie credits, or watch here and go to the 1:54 mark.

That's probably even weirder though that they give an exact sounding and similar spelt name with just one letter change lol
