rape scene... gone too far?

I know that you have to go far in scenes to create an impact. I love shocking scenes & shocking movies, but...

I was just wandering if the scene went too far by showing a 13 y/o girl (or 15y/o girl in real life) in her underwear in a sexual situation?

There could have been other ways the scene was shot, without making her appear like that on-screen.

First, I have to think what kind of parents would let their daughter appear like that.

Then, I believe that this scene will be a delight to pedophiles.

Finally, I know that another way to create impact is that the pedophile isn't apprehended at the end, but that just sends a WRONG WRONG message to pedophiles watching this movie... he didn't get caught and many other pedophile crimes that the FBI was on didn't get solved....

I liked the movie and find it a little shocking, just thing it goes 'too easy' on pedophiles!

hon, it depicted reality. Most pedophiles and rapists are never caught and are never held accountable for their crime, THATS REALITY. The movie showed this for people who dont realize that.

I ask myself the same question, I look in the trivia section about this scene and didn't find any info, also I looking for a stunt for her in this scene and didn't find. I will never let my daughter filmed in underwear and in such sexual situation. The underwear (there's not big difference between bikini and underwear) is one thing but all situation sound too much.

It's not easy scene for both actors.
He only touch her hand & hair and the movie let the viewer understand what happen for himself.

About the massage, there's something about what you said, but maybe the theme of the movie is about trust and less about education values.

Gone too far?
How??

You don't see anything! Just a girl sitting on a bed in her underwear. Then the man touches her hair or kisses her neck and then you only see the wall.

I guess you have seen anything graphic.
