Is it really that good or are Dune fans just overhyping it?

Just finished it and I thought it was fantastic. 9/10

I think it is the sci-fi fans hyping it. The first movie is not an 8.0 quality wise.

I think they are just happy there is a decent enough adoption.

It's quite good, each scene is like a great visual painting.

My only "negative" criticism is that the general story was just OK and there seems to be a bridge for a Dune 3, which I was not expecting.

I don’t think this one is as fantastic as the first, but it is still very good. 8/10 would be my rating.

It's fine. A little long. It sucks because it's a transition film. The visuals are good. As for the actors, there's a big difference between the older actors and younger actors. The younger ones are really mundane compared to the older actors.

I'll give it a 4.5/5.
