....in the final episode??

I mean....I think everyone has always assumed we'd see Rick again (and Michonne) before the (original) Walking Dead wrapped.

I understand they will be in a spinoff.....but how could the producers NOT bring them back for a curtain call with Daryl....Judith.....Maggie....Carol?? Negan??

This would be on par with how badly the Star Wars producers dropped the ball in The Force Awakens by not finding a way to get Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie in the same room together for at least one scene!

I don't see how they can bring back Rick and Michonne in any kind of serious storyline since they also have to wrap up everything with The Commonwealth, and shot Judith. I'm wondering if they are even going to have a spin-off or these supposed movies? I think it's mostly hype. And the walkers all of a sudden learning how to climb ladders and open doors? That's stupid. Zombies themselves are fake enough, but changing the rules at this stage of the game is pathetic.

There were some reports a few months back of Lincoln being sighted with Reedus in Atlanta at the time they were filming the final episodes. Whether or not these "sightings" took place on or off set isn't very clear.

If he is going to appear, they're keeping it real quiet.

Wait so there's also a spinoff with Rick and Michonne? So there are spinoffs with Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Carol, Maggie, Negan, then the 5 other spinoffs that are still going right now... Holy crap

Have you seen the streaming stuff on AMC+, all these different angles of the Walking Dead, Daryl's Story, Carol's Story, ... I bet that is what they end up doing, or in other words a bunch of series that are not really series just to exploit what they already have or didn't do right in the past. The running, climbing, manipulating things with their hands zombies are a big failure to me at this point. They are just doing to because they ran out of plots and the zombies are not scary any more.

Is the finale going to be more like previews of all these different half-assed shows?

Pretty much. The Zombie Apocalypse genre has gotten pretty stale. Lather-Rinse-Repeat. Sooner or later it'll no longer be viable to keep churning out these spin-offs. I think the viewership has already been in decline for years now.

Why did they quit? I liked Rick and Michonne. Not following them in some way or keeping everyone updated and then bringing them back is exactly the kind of obvious manipulation that makes this show worse.

I think we will see Rick and Michonne, but it's going to be a 10 second teaser after they wrap up the episode. I have this feeling that they both aren't even going to see their old friends; it will be a cutaway scene where they are somwhere else.

I hope I'm wrong, I think its disappointing what they did with most of season 11, so it would be nice to have a cool final episode with Rick and Michonne reuniting with everyone, in a meaningful way.
