No skeletons?
How come after all these years the dead still have flesh? Shouldn't most of them be skeletons by now?

shareTHE COMMONPLACE EXPLANATION BY THE SHOW IS THE VIRUS THAT KEEPS THE BRAIN FUNCTIONING ON A PRIMALLEVEL DURING "ZOMBIE LIFE" ALSO SUSTAINS THE REST OF THE BODY TO A DEGREE..THE ROT AND FALL APART SLOWER.
shareenergy needs to come from somewhere, surely most of them havent been eating for like years?
shareIT IS A SHOW ABOUT WALKING,BITING CORPSES AFTER ALL...LOGIC WILL ONLY TAKE YOU SO FAR.
shareI have always had a problem with the logic of the zombies.
There is suposed to be a rule in sciFi and even fantasy......Once you have the impossiable premise you treat it with respect and logic.
impossiable premise / respect and logic.
is not a , er , whatsit , two opposing things ?
Contradiction? , no that other word ...
"energy needs to come from somewhere"
Right there - thats the line , you stepped over .
Thats overanalysing.
Did you expect the writers of the show to come up with a perfect hypothesis for zombies that is pefectly plausible in medical science , physics and thermodynamics?
not really after they establish the fact that everyone is infected back in S1 at the CDC (doesnt need to get bit to turn), thus there should be more scientific explanation on the other issues.
shareWell, if this show was striving for zombie 'realism', all of the zombies would be gone within months.
They would have fallen apart from advanced decay and likely been taken down by animals and insects long ago. Especially in the south, the humidity and temperature would only advance this process.
The fact that they have existed in this show for over half a decade is pretty hilarious.
Just try not to think about it. Lol
One theory is that the zombie virus causes the body to decompose at a much slower rate than human bodies would otherwise. Although it seems like a persons skin starts to decompose rapidly once they become a zombie, the decomposition process drastically slows down after the initial superficial rotting.
shareThe more they decompose the softer the skull gets and for some reason the teeth get stronger.
shareThey've started showing a few zombies with more skeleton showing, guess it just takes 10 years to do so.
