She walks around with her "swagger" that I find laughable,but she literally has her belly hanging over her jeans. Not very believable in a society where food is scarce. I actually think she's a decent actress, but she's playing the role up too much, and it's very cheesy.

As for her weight, an actress of her caliber was a huge "get" for the show, so I am sure the producers just chose to disregard it, even though yes, realistically speaking she couldn't possibly have any extra fat in that lifestyle. But whereas with the young girl playing her daughter they could pose it as a requirement that the girl be skinny, with her they couldn't.
Let's not get crazy. She's good enough to bring Meryl Streep her coffee, but that's as close an association I'll allow to her. The work offered and awards given to Mrs Streep seem to back me up on that.

Easy fanboy, it's just her comparison to Meryl Streep I'm disagreeing with, not her entire skill set. It's pretty clear Meryl Streep wouldn't take a bit role on the Walking Dead in it's waning years, so I let that speak for itself in regards to comparing the caliber of the two actresses.
shareSuccess is not always related to skill or talent (I would think that much is self-evident), and Samantha Morton has a reputation for being difficult to work with.
Regardless, there are many very capable actors who never amounted to much. Even some who are both *beautiful* and capable (e.g. Tricia Helfer or Brandon Routh).

No offense but are you are actually giving weight and merit to "awards shows"? These entities congratulating themselves with awards doesn't mean anything.
You act as if the poster called this lady a bad actress. He never did. He praised her acting......he just didn't fawn over her as one of the best actresses ever and apparently that didn't sit well with you.
I don't know anything about her at all. She was a pre-cog in Minority Report like 17 years ago...that's all I've ever seen her in. I don't care if she's good or not. The entire THEME of this thread was people not being pudgy or fat in a world with hardly enough food to live on.

I've seen her in 4-5 episodes of this and a 2-hour feature film. That's around 6-7 hours of her work. BTW you are disagreeing with the OP, I never commented on her rating as an actress. Pay attention.
So, the OP rated her acting.....you reacted strongly to him not rating her high enough. Now you are falsely trying to get into the same argument with me when I never even actually gave her a rating.....just pointed out plainly that the OP not using the same superlative words you'd use isn't preposterous. Now, even though I never even TRIED to "rate" her acting you are bringing up some FALSE qualification requirement that someone must see them in more than 5 hours of shows/movies or whatever.
