Please give us a Governor origin movie

With the news of AMC doing all these prequels and spinoffs with Walking Dead, anyone else really wanna see a movie showing us the origin of The Governor and how he rose to power as The Governor?

I read the book about his origins forget what it was called, but it was really good, about him traveling with his daughter Penny and his older more violent brother near the beginning of the apocalypse. I'd love to see a movie based on it.

Plus i'd love to see David Morrissey back in the role once again.

I read the rise of the Governor too..But I think they'd do better with another younger actor in the role.
It might lend a certain mystery to some as to which brother becomes the Governor. And the character in the book seemed more...I don't know..innocent? then what we associate with Morrissey as the Governor.

Morrissey was badly cast. It should have been Danny Trejo.

If they was going for comic book accurate yes but they said when they cast him they wanted him to look trustworthy and normal. Cause in the comics you know The Governor's bat shit crazy right from the get go just from how he looks, but in the show they wanted him to appear like a good guy.

Yes, the comics definitely pictured the governor looking like Trejo. But I love David M. He did a fine job.

I would love to see David back as the governor. He is a riveting actor. His character, driven insane by the ZA.
