Dwight, no doubt, did not dip his arrow blades in zombie goo so she'll be safe from infection.
But if he really wanted to do her a favor, he should have shot her in the ass so she'd be forced to stay on her feet and get more exercise.

Did anyone actually know that it was Tara getting hit by Dwight's arrow when it happened? I didn't know who it was because the camera stayed with Dwight/Simon, and then it cut to Daryl saying "shit!" so that made me think he knew who it was who'd been shot...and since Tara is kind of porky, I figured it might be her. But I really wasn't certain until the talky scene at the end when they mentioned she'd been hit.
For a semi-major character to be wounded like this and the show not to include some kind of insert of showing her hit, I put this down to either sloppy editing, or else the director never covered it in the first place.
She was the only one out of all the people who got hit with a infected weapon who did not turn or was having a fever, so its a straight bet she is not infected.
