Yeah I got annoyed with this as well. Rosita knew Abraham for nearly two years, Sasha for maybe a couple weeks, on a personal level, though this show is so slow-paced now it's impossible to tell.

That's pretty low. especially when he could get jewelry anywhere, it's hardly even valuable anymore. Nobody raids jewelry stores, they're looking for food and guns. You don't regift a love token to the next lover!
Well, for one thing I'm not sure how long exactly they were officially "together" but they had known one another a good while. The difference might be that they both felt that they had found the one they wanted to make a permanent go of things and not just a convenient companion. It's clear that Abe was with Rosita not for love..but convenience.
Abe wanted to try to build a future with Sasha and she with him. So that's the difference. Time is not the factor here.
It's also obvious that both Rosita and Sasha are more than ready to die. I don't think it's all just Abe. He was just the final nail in the coffin. But they'd love to be the ones to take Negan out for the final hooray..
As far as the necklace...Abe didn't give the necklace to Sasha. It fell off of him when he was being strangled by that guy at Hilltop back in s6. Jesus found it and gave it to Sasha because he'd known it belonged to Abe.
Maggie is concentrating on the future because she's pregnant. Concentrating on the past right now will only weaken her resolve to kill Negan.
I know, I said the same thing to my wife. They had just started going out and they treat it as if she's lost the love of her life and they'd been together for ten years. They had been together for what, a week?
