LOL Luke versus The Rancor

Anybody else get that vibe from the Rick vs Metal Zombie fight?

That was pretty dumb. How the hell did they get the armor on the Zombie.

Maybe they overpowered it and put it on him. Or he was wearing it when he died. Its not that unusual when you consider what The Kingdom dress like.

Except that Rick didn't try any old Jedi mind tricks on Jadis before she pushed him into the pit, but yeah. Very similar vibe.

She pretty much admitted afterward that there was no plan with that walker. He was one of them, a guy named Winslow. Remember their motto: we take, we don't bother. Basically they let other people do the dirty and dangerous stuff and then swoop in and lay claim to the spoils. In this case, one of their own people turned in his armor. Who knows what the spiked armor was for? That'll be an interesting story I'm sure. But he died wearing it and ended up in that pit, perhaps thrown in just like Rick.

There really was no way to kill it except with a large caliber rifle or a close quarters thrust upward through the jaw. You'd practically have to stick your hand in its mouth to get the angle right. He was contained. So why would they send someone else down there and risk having them bitten? Then Rick shows up, and Jadis figures hey: I can see what the guy's made of and have him do this chore no one else wants to do at the same time. If he gets bitten and turns, at least he's not wearing armor. Right? They can always kill him from up top without having to go down there.

It didn't seem that much of a task to go ahead and a few overpower that walker.

Now that I think about it, it did resemble the Luke v Rancor fight. I felt sorry for Rick. One minute he's on top of the garbage hill, and the next, thrown down and fighting for his life. And he gets a cut up leg and hole in his hand for it.
