Seriously who actually calls their grandma that? It just sounds unnatural whenever Allyson is calling her that. Grandma is the most common name to use, not once have i heard anyone in real life calling their grandma that. Just sounds like something a British person would use to sound all proper. A teenager in Illinois using it especially sounds odd.

On the face, I agree with you. But, things aren't always what you expect. I called them Grandpa, Grandma, Grampa, and Gamma. My sister planned for her kid to call our mom "Nana," but he couldn't pronounce that so now it's always been "Nina," and our dad was Gdad. You just don't always know. It hurts no one, so don't worry about it
