Better than I thought it would be

Just came back from a cinema watch. I have to deal with the fact that my movie tastes attract the annoying teen audience, but they seemed to settle down once it kicked in.

Anyway, I went in with low expectations but also with a little anticipation. I'm an avid fan of the original. There were some great moments that recaptured the feel of of the first. Particularly Michael roaming around and creating havoc in Haddonfield on Halloween night with people dressed up so he fits right in.

I didn't care much for the isolated Laurie fortress at the end. It seems to work better in suburbia.

Nice to hear that. Since there’s no shortage of negative posts on here, it’s cool to see a more positive one for a change. :)

And though I agree that a suburban setting is more ideal for a Halloween film, I thought the ending couldn’t have been executed better — and set in a more suitable place.

I thought Michael was incredibly well done. Definitely the star of the show

I also like the new Halloween movie. Nice job from Danny McBride which I still find weird even when he was the pilot in Alien Covenant.

I cant wait until Halloween 2018 comes out for DVD and blu ray and hope theres some really good bonus features for the DVD and blu ray releases
