in light of halloween..which HWs you seen at cinema (or tv)?

think remember debating to go see H20 in summer 98 (which this seems to be a remake of) as it was kind of a big deal JLC was back (and had become quite a big name since HW) plus it was made in light of the success of the Screams (Kevin Williamson was even involved). didn't go tho.. so might go see H40 as never seen a HW at cinema before (and this will actually be out at HW .. dont think many of them have come out around HW?)

so regarding seeing the previous movies just on TV, used to own the H78 VHS (v bad picture quality) so saw that a couple times (no bothered to upgrade to DVD tho). Caught bits of the various sequels on late night tv (2 - the end at the hospital. 3 - most of it. H20 - actually may have seen it in its entirety on rented VHS in 98 or 99 but can't remember much of it just the start with JLC/Hartnett/Williams and the Clooneyalike guy and the ending with the beheading. HR - just the opening with death of JLC but couldn't take the junk after). The Zombie remake actually bought this cheap on DVD the other day due to all the hype of the new movie and never seen it before, got through it over a few nights. won't bother getting the sequel as the remake was hard going and saw the H2 trailer on utube no thank you. also just utubed the start/ends of H4/5/6. H4 looked pretty good! very atmospheric opening and chilling ending

None...The first one i had interest in seeing was Halloween 6 Curse of Michael Myers but i was only in 5th grade so had to wait for it to come to Pay Per View

H20 i was in 8th grade and i was already smarter than the modern horror audiences of then and today and resented a movie coming along telling me i'm a moron for liking the Halloween 4, 5 and 6 that reeked of nothing more than a 20 year anniversary gay 90's Meta Remake of the original the same way Wes Craven called us morons for liking the Freddy sequels in New Nightmare 4 years before H20 while being nothing but a Meta Remake of the Original. I eventually watched H20 and have never felt the need to go back.

Halloween resurrection i was in 11th grade and way past any hope for the franchise and quite frankly the idea was insulting but unlike H20 i did end up watching it a 2nd time just to laugh at what a joke it is and see Busta Rhymes

I had and have absolutely no interest in watching the Rob Zombie films and will never watch them

Now here i am about to turn 34 in 10 days and H40 is in theater's telling us we are morons for liking the Halloween sequels while ripping off everything from those sequels they can squeeze into their supposed "Meta Remake of the original" which anybody with a brain knows is truly a Meta Remake of H20

Bump

Since back then 2018 have blind bought dvd of Kills (not that bad) and Ends (terrible). and picked up 2018 (the only HW I seen at cinema, not that great in retrospect) as was cheap on ebay as part of a dvd bundle with H20 and H4/5 (4 is worth owning for the atmospheric opening) . the rest just have H78 and H2 saved on TV (they never show 6 for some reason, unlike the most of the rest )

Well, you didn't ask, but I think that it's relevant to share birth years here, or at least roughstimates. I was born in the mid-80s. I've been able to see the original at a retrospect. I have seen H20 and every one since in theaters at least once during their original run.
