Will Smith being a better actor ruins this.

These movies require a little cheese factor in the acting department (hell, the whole genre does), but Will is very serious and talented now, kind of too in to his character, and it's actually distracting.

No. Not at all. It's just the character of a rich cop driving fancy cars around and busting caps in thugs' asses shouldn't be taken too seriously.

First time i've seen anyone describe Will Smith as being too good of an actor. I find his acting completely transparent, it's all very surface level. There's no depth to his acting.
