Amateurish Production
There's something really amateurish about the production of this movie. The lighting, the acting, the pacing, the edits. They've even got DJ Khaled in this for good measure who can't act to save his life.

shareThe editing is particularly jarring. But man. The color grading. It hurts to look at. I know they're trying to juice up the Miami feel of this thing, but the over saturated golden tones of this movie are hideous. Overall, it simply doesn't have a cinematic feel. (I was very disappointed DJ Khaled didn't say his name in his scene.)
shareOne of the issues with the editing is this movie apes a lot of Michael Bay's cinematography with the wide panning shots that swoop around. But they constantly cut cut cut. It's very jarring. Almost schizophrenic. You have to let shots like that linger. You can't keep jump cutting back and forth from them.
