Both hold similar beats and a very similar comedic timing, along with over-the-top chaotic action which would gel well in the same flick. This doesn't sound as cool as it did before Bad Boys For Life went into production but imagine if we had a double billing threequel with a 23 Jump Street/Bad Boys 3 film. It's not impossible as both are owned by Sony. In fact, I would much prefer that over MIB23. Imagine having a case that goes all the way to Miami, which Schmidt and Jenko naturally go to and then find themselves crossing over in a case by Mike and Marcus? Hell, you could have dovetailed Bad Boys at the end of the second film as it ended in Miami. Imagine Mike and Marcus meeting Ice Cube's Dickson.
