The best version of Pinocchio since the 1940 Disney classic

It embraced the source material while also doing it's own thing which makes it more unique. The dark tone is well handled without being sugar-coated (though it does have some good humor here and there), the voice work from everyone involved is top notch, the music score from Alexandre Desplat is so beautiful (seriously, whoever managed to get David Bradley to sing so good deserves a medal), and the stop motion animation is what makes the whole movie worth it. The character designs, the expressions, the visuals... all in one delicious spaghetti with meatballs.
