Pinocchio puppet creepy and annoying

Tried watching this the other day. I had to break it up into several sessions to make it to the end.

The movie is actually very well made and written.

However, I found the puppet design to be incredibly creepy and off putting. Pinocchio's personality was very annoying and unlikeable along with his design issues.

I agree totally. VERY poor design of the puppet, it needed to have an endearing quality and the puppet was ugly and creepy, Found myself wishing for a box of matches to light that THING on fire.

I truly believe a creepy Pinocchio works better than a cutesy one.

Maybe. I think this movie would be better and more widely received if it's main character was more likeable.

He was most definitely annoying in the beginning, but got better. I had no problem with his appearance.
