My ending interpretation
I refuse to believe this is supposed to be a girl power moment. I see it as the cycle of abuse continues instead of ending. Frieda didn't want to be invisible and by taking over as CEO, she accomplished that. Plus, she gets power of her own after being raped by controlling her rapist. Instead of letting that cycle of abuse end, she sadly continues it just like Slater did after his assault. I do think the movie sent a bad message to survivors of abuse in that becoming the abuser is not the answer. Two wrongs don't make a right.
