Smaller, less popular movies like this one. There are no good message boards for asking questions or discussing plot points for movies that aren't super blockbusters or superheroes. This movie is years old and I can still come here to talk about it. You can't get that anywhere else unfortunately.
I know it's an old post, and this user is not even here anymore, but i have to share.
When i first found out about this site i was tremendously happy and nostalgic. Looks like the boards, even though not as populated for the time being, feels just like home. Props to everyone who made it real, and i agree, no place like it to exchange ideas about movies.
They might be present on this site, but because that was from an IMDB post, there is no link to a profile. They may be just like you and me. A former IMDB user who came here.
I love this movie and this site!
I don’t post very often but I come here at least once or twice a week just to see what others are posting about after I have watched a new show or movie.
So far out of about 244 posts I’ve only had one negative interaction so I believe I’ve been extraordinarily lucky.
I do see some awful comments on here and often you can tell just by the actor that’s trending that people are just ‘piling on the hate’ but I simply just don’t engage.
There’s still some of us old IMDB users on here, many who still love to ask questions and bounce ideas off.
Don’t give up hope!
You’re very lucky, I mostly had negative interactions here. There’s a lowlife moron who thinks he is an artificial intelligence or something, logged in after a long time and he is still trying to chatbot around haha.
This site is dogshit.
I can handle the hordes of trolls and assholes.
I cannot tolerate the super low traffic and miniscule number of users.
I always end up chatting with the same people, some are ok, some nice, many are nasty ones, but at the end it's a very small club.
IMDB was another thing, fuck amazon for ruining it.
Yes.
They bought it and shut the boards down, so they could control and censor the opinions, and be the only ones in charge of telling everybody what is a "good" movie or not, without all these inconvenient posters.
IMDB has big ideas for itself , the face of movie info for the internet
big spotlight .
Its like a posh store on fifth ave , or Rodeo drive ,
In that store when they say "would you like a glass of wine in our cafe" , the customers dont wont to see the bar from Dusk till Dawn (which is our MC in this analogy)
That said i was happy with it and wish theyd kept it , for the extra traffic
