Would love to see more episodes

Well I believe it's up to five seasons now (or series as they call them in the UK).

Me too. I actually thought you were referring to this season in 2019 - didn’t realize you wrote this two years ago.

But this 2019 season only has 4 episodes and it is not enough even. Although this was classic Luther, and I guess we were lucky to have even this - since it has been 4 years - I felt more episodes would have been great. When I look back to the first season, there were two underlying themes that ran through all 6 episodes - Luther’s relationship with his wife and his relationship with Alice and then each episode dealt with a different adversary - and it was brilliant. This season was similar to first season of Luther, except it was too short with the 4 episodes and also Luther just didn’t seem to exhibit any brilliance or insight like in previous episodes. He just kept making one mistake after another and barely kept his head above water. But Alice was true Alice and the scary dark London vibe was really present. I loved it.
