do you think it is moral for a womand to have a baby in her 40's? personnaly i think it's seflish en dangerous. What if the baby is mentally handicapped? And having a mother so old is not a great thing when you are a teenager. All your friends will make fun of you. Not a good idea at all.
shareSeems more selfish to have an abortion because of your age. If you don't want a child past a certain age, get your tubes tied. There was nothing selfish about her decision. It wasn't planned.

I've just turned 35 and I really want kids. It hasn't happened for me yet because 1) I didn't meet my Mr Right till I was 32, and 2) Money and security. I wanted to be ready.
Sorry if you think 40 is too old, but not everyone just breeds because they can and FYI your baby can be mentally handicapped if you have them at 20.

I'm 35 next month & still don't have children ok, I've been told by dr huge possibility I can't have them so accept I can't.
If I got pregnant at 40, u can bet I'll be keeping it & why the funk would the baby be handicapped?????? That's a lovely nasty thing to say. Not everybody has the dream of meeting a guy, getting married, having kids etc so come down off ur high horse & realise some women would love to have a child & have been working & praying for years to have children.
Not everybody gets their dream of being a mother ok so think before acting like a smug cow!!

I guess this argument could fly 35 years ago but not now. More people are having babies later in life.

its not wrong but it is a bit weird and its a shame coz the kid gets less time with their parents and the parent doesnt have the energy a younger mother would have to take care of the child.
the kid with the older parents at school was always a bit weird, usually bullied and came to school with a briefcase.

As long as a woman has a period, she can get pregnant. You can give birth to a handicapped kid at any age.
