While he is diminished, Val has not lost his voice.

I really enjoyed Val Kilmer's performance in Willow and I thought he did a decent job as Batman. His performance in Tombstone was memorable. This film shows a lot of his home videos and it's cool to see some footage from behind the scenes. It was wild to see him give a 300 pound Marlon Brando a push on an industrial-strength hammock.

It is sad to see his disability limit his ability to practice his craft at the highest level. The film shows his transformation from Hollywood leading man to a has-been signing autographs for fans at conventions.

I would have liked to have heard more about the causes of his throat cancer. I read that he smoked a lot as a kid but this was not covered in the film. It also would have been cool to see him with his older brother in the film but they were estranged for many years. This film is worth checking out if you are a fan of Val Kilmer.

He was a huge favorite of mine in his heyday. I loved his persona as a cool, cynical outsider who didn't give a damn for the status quo. He played the kinds of guys I wanted to be. I identified with his characters in every movie I saw him in. I don't know if I could handle watching this.
