You have to factor in inflation. Ticket prices today are a hell of a lot more expensive than they used to be. Original pulled in 750 million in 2023 dollars and it was only a domestic release. This was a huge failure.... but then when it was made by Disney while touching the pander stone is it a surprise to anyone?

It's very interesting how they don't want to let this franchise die, and for what? To not even make profit.

They could let this franchise rest with its quality, relevant entries. But no, they go, make terrible movies, milk the cow, take value out of the previous movies, and all for a terrible box office run.
