The actor was 14 ~ 15 during filming I am guessing that is the age he was supposed to be.
I think he was supposed to be portrayed as someone not yet reaching sexual maturity, otherwise his relationship with Helena could be considered as awkward, even viewed as pedophilia.

I would really like them to show how their traveling works.
Like I get that she saw this 10 years old "poor boy of color" somewhere in a shithole country where he tried to rob her. And eventually felt sorry for him and went her full White Savior complex and and picked him up like a stray puppy.
But how do they travel? He is underage. She is nobody to him. He has no passport and nothing. Didnt they also had to apply for visa back in a day too? I forgot what country he was from originally.
Like she would have to fake some ID for him and herself to present herself as his legal guardian or something. Or to adopt him. Otherwise she would not be able to bring him around wherever she wants.

As far as I understand the kid can apply for a passport, there is nothing stopping him from doing that. He does not have to be with a guardian to travel, but he would need an adult companion with him.
Otherwise how would under-aged runway models travel? How could fashion industry survive?
So it is not a major problem.
