They admit it too. The wrestlers are also mostly all friends, despite what you see on TV. I wonder how this will affect ratings going forward?

It has been widely known for years that it is scripted, so ratings would not be impacted at all. That's why it is called "sports entertainment." The only possible way that ratings would be impacted, is if every viewer and ticket purchaser was under 13 (maybe even 12).

Isn't football and baseball also sports entertainment? They are not scripted

Sports are a form of entertainment, but you will never hear the NBA, NFL, or MLB referring to what their players do as "sports entertainment." That designation is specific to organizations that use scripted performances, like WWE, AEW, etc.
