I'm rather startled that they never called on the Lord.

Or tried to go to a church or such.

Anyone else think so?

"Penfold, shush."

Maybe if they were eight years old and/or Republicans. Other than that, they wouldn't waste their time.

If the people that founded this country hadn't 'wasted their time' smug secular liberals wouldn't be here exercising their right to spout off their ignorance every time someone mentions the name of God right now.

Ignorant? Well, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?

Why would that startle/surprise you? Mainstream movies tend to avoid overtly Christian themes. They may reference Hell, Purgatory, or other themes referenced by Christianity, but they won't generally show praying to the Christian god.

And besides, which would you find more insulting (assuming you are Christian): characters in a movie haunted by ghosts don't pray to god, or they do but are killed anyway because god lets it happen or directly causes it?

Yeah when your last plan involves playing audio backward, somewhere in between why not try that that?

No see it was based on science and observation of the supernatural, such that the supernatural is explainable and part of the natural world. Whereas God is an imaginary character in a book of fiction called The Holy Bible.
