I want to see this movie but Ashley Greene is so damn unlikeable - The Apparition (2012) Discussion

Not seeing it because Ashley is unlikable (we all know she's just in the industry to grab some easy cash and f-ck a few hot guys on the way; a modern prostitute of sorts) is not the main argument against this flick. The movie is just plain garbage anyway. I've had the misfortune of seeing this at an early screening my friend got tickets for and it's utter crap. It's nothing more than a bunch of no-brain people looking scared when hearing a few dodgy sounds. That's it. That's the whole movie. The most 'appealing' scene of the trailer is actually the end of the movie. Yeah.

Not much to say to that. Things like wow!, omg, etc.

I've never even heard of her but this chick is stunning. Look at the photo of her next to Jennifer Garner (red dress). Look at the photo of her next to Kate Hudson. I'd like to see her next to Megan Fox. I predict she might outdo her also. Really though look at that Jennifer Garner shot. That really puts some perspective on just how beautiful this woman is. She's a visual gift that none of you on this thread deserve to have.

Greene is awful, boring and unattractive in a movie that is awful, boring and unattractive. She is most likely working BECAUSE of all the hollywood people she has slept with. It seems like actresses these days no longer look like movie stars, but rather very average girls you would see in Walmart buying cheap clothes.

I'm not coming down on either side of this, but does Ashley Greene's private life really matter? I know I personally don't care about it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Personally, i think the only reason she's "hot" now is because she plays Alice in Twilight. But i don't think she'll have much of a career after it. Her movie with Miley Cyrus was a flop too, her TV series "Americana" was passed over, and she only has one project lined up after Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2 . The only thing she's got going is her contract with DKNY and Mark Cosmetics. But like I said, she's only "hot" now because of Twilight. Her acting is mediocre and she's not much of beauty so I don't think she'll last in Hollywood.

Oh you. I used to follow your Nikki Reed fan account on twitter but then had to unfollow because you wouldn't stop bitching about Ashley. I didn't know you roamed the imdb boards bashing her, too.

I really don't get what it is with Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart fans; it's like they can't support them without invalidating Ashley. I don't think she's the least bit of a threat to neither of them (they're better actresses -imo- with better chances and better connections) so I don't understand their fans' need to constantly try to put her down.

Not sh!t she's "hot" now because of playing Alice. The same can be said pretty much about everyone in Twilight. She had a very minor role in 'LOL' and I don't think she should be held responsible for its failure. In a much similar (or even worse) scenario to The Apparition its promo was pretty much non-existent. Both movies sucked though, so they deserved to be flops. Over a hundred TV pilots get made every year and only very few make it to series. I don't think her pilot not getting picked is on her since it wasn't aired to begin with. Now If it was picked and got canceled because it failed to get an audience that would've been a different story, but it wasn't. But I shouldn't be surprised that a hater would use that against her, so whatever. I personally am not overly excited about her career choices so far and hope she goes for better projects in the future. But I understand, unlike Nikki or Kristen who've been in this industry for more than a decade, this was basically her first major role and she definitely has plenty of room for improvement. She's also expected to make her share of dumb choices. She's still very young, I always find it hilarious when actors in their 20's get career ultimatums.

Calm the *beep* down. I only came to this forum because I saw this suck ass movie and wanted to warn people not to watch it for they will only be wasting their money. I don't go on Ashley Greene's IMDB page or post on her discussion board no matter how much I dislike her. So calm your ass down. You don't like what you read about her, close your eyes.

I don't know much about Ashley Greene except that she was in Twilight and a few low budget films I've seen like Summer's Moon. She's not a good actress. She really is one of those girls who is hired to just look good in skimpy/revealing outfits while the main male actor does all the work.

And in this film (especially in the first half) they go out of their way to make her look sexy by having her take a shower and putting her in small underwear, and not to be mean or anything, but she doesn't have the body or the personality to pull off being sexy. She really is just an average looking girl they've made up to appear sexy, which would be okay if she didn't have the emotional range of a stapler.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.

Nikki looks like a transvestite horse and while she's an ok actress at best, her singing isn't that great.

KStew is only a good actress if your movie is about a walking, mumbling coma patient. KStew couldn't act herself out of a wet, pulpy paper sack with GPS on her phone, a guide dog, and razor blades on her clothes to help her get through.

However, thank you for saying semi-nice things about Ashley. Everyone makes stupid ass choices on movies, just look at Will Smith choosing Wild Wild West over The Matrix. Or any other number of crap movies people have chosen to do. So what if she took semi-nudes of herself and sent them to a guy.. If she was a nobody doing it and they got out no one would think twice, but because she's semi famous, she gets called a slut. ho-kay!
