shareNah, he's right. Most Marvel movies are shit. Marvel has 27 Oscar nominations with 33 films, and "Poor Things" alone has 11. Get rid of Marvel's nominations for visual effects, suddenly it only has 13 nominations.

shareI might check this movie out. I like Yorgos, he's a pretty solid director. His movies are quite zany though. But I did like The Lobster a lot. How does this compare? The trailer doesn't look all that good but it's hard to judge a movie based on the trailer.
shareI watched it today. My review: Emma Stone is fantastic here, in a career best performance. Her performance is funny, interesting, complex, and bold. The production design and costumes are excellent. The screenplay is wonderful with some memorable and amusing dialogue. Poor Things is a delightfully demented, weird and wild, exceptionally well made cinematic experience. 9/10

Shame that some people are like that. We'll see if the current reviews keep up at this pace. It seems to getting positive feedback by most of the serious critics and whatnot.
It's currently rated at 87 on metacritic and 8.5 on rotten tomatoes and 8.3 on IMDB.
So, it's well passed my criteria. For me to watch a film, I gotta see at least two 6's out of the above 3. And we got 3 8's here. So yeah, I will check this one out.
