I don't think woke writers understand or care how biology works

Unless your bi-sexual there are straight people and there are gay people. You can't just magically switch characters back and forth on a whim whenever's convenient. They did this with Seven on Picard. I suppose it's possible Archie was Bi-sexual all along but it sure seemed to conveniently come out of the blue with the addition of Zhang to the team.

Seven on Picard

At least here they somehow managed to make it part of the story.
With Seven on Picard it was just out of the blue, the story wrapped up and oh, by the way, she's a lesbian now, it has nothing to do with the story, but we thought we'd just let you know.

Kristen Stewart, Anne Heche and Meredith Baxter-Birney were with men, the last divorced three husbands, before switching to a woman. Heche was with guys, then a girl, then guys again. Go figure 🤔
