I liked this movie, A lot.

I found this movie pretty entertaining. Not familiar with the comic books or any such thing, was just looking for something to stream on Netflix... I gave it 5 stars there (and 8 here on IMDB).

Really have no clue why people wouldn't be into it or so hard with their ratings/comments. Most likely (I'd think) they are the comic book geeks who are miffed this wasn't made into some kind of anime cartoon.

I would give it 6/10. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't that memorable either.

I liked it also.
I liked the original take of the gargoyles and the demons with Frankenstein in the middle. Don't care about the books or the Original Frankenstein. This was a refreshing take. Character development or not. A lot better than the character development on Suicide Squad.
6.5-7/10

I gave it an 8 also--Its an interesting reworking of the Frankenstein theme, with good action and CGI--acting was good too, especially by Eckhart

Count me in the "Ikes" group too. I agree with those that found some of the dialog weak, but for the most part I enjoyed what I saw. I admit that I missed the first hour, but I intend to see thst today.

And what fresh Hell is this?, Malory from Archer(Dorothy Parker)

There should be a seperate rating system

A Blockbuster-A Lister-Mega Movie - Rating System

and

B List-Popcorn-Enjoy It For What It Is - Rating System

If you compare this movie to the likes of Shawshank, Starwars, Titanic, God Father, Scarface, then yes, it's a 5-7 on a scale of 1-10, but if you compare it to the likes of Underworld, Legion, Escape From LA/NY, etc.... then it's a solid 7-9.

Didn't hate it, but didn't really care for it much either.... its just a ok-ish popcorn flick (pretty much in the same category as Van Helsing).

Basically felt like it was made by someone trying to relive the horror-action-adventure movie "craze" of the early 00's when we had a string of movies like Blade-Van Helsing-Underworld-The Mummy etc....

The difference between this an those is blade is a comic book character so it works as action an underworld is a gothic action film that works because its a hot chick in tight leather an vampires work as being sexy the problem with trying to make frankensteine as superhero sexy dude is frankenstein is a undead corpse lol an trying to make this character sexy it comes off silly especially when he just looks like a dude with a facial scar lol an the plot here is worse then either underworld or blade this is better than van hellsing though
