Seeing him go all survivor on an alien planet was cool... Then they tried to remake Pitch Black and it all went to hell...

Yeah the first half is great but then the film devolves into the same plot as Pitch Black, funny how all these planets have monsters that only come out at night, the perfect scenario for Riddick with his nightvision but hey he has to show off his super power somehow, hope the next film is more original like the first half of this film.

Act i: A Boy and His Dog

if this was an entire film of Riddick surviving on a hostile planet i would've loved it.

I felt the same way. It could had been an interesting change of pace for the series.
