after 8 seasons who will elena choose to be with stefan + damon

i know this been ask so many times i am going to ask it again since the show is
ending which brother Elena will have her happy ending with Stefan or Damon will
she go back being a vampire will Bonnie have happy ending will Jeremy or Klaus
return for special guess part for this season

reply

I desperately hope it's a Delena endgame but I doubt it since every show *beep* me up the ass with my ships.

reply

As much as I'd love Stelena as endgame in the TV series finale, they ruined the relationship so much to the point that it'd feel like an asspull if they automatically got back together. I wish Elena redeemed herself instead of being regressed once Delena happened.

I hope they pull a Sookie and have Elena end up with a normal guy and Stefan and Damon reconcile and build a stronger relationship between the brothers. Especially since I doubt they will follow the TVD books' original ending (Elena sacrificing herself for the brothers).

reply

True Blood had an abysmal ending, and it would make even less sense for this show. How would it be the least bit positive for Elena's character? She had the normal guys and they didn't cut it for her, she was only settling. Even still, a brothers endgame would be absurd. Two adult many times over brothers deciding to abstain from love for the sake of each other, because it's not possible to maintain more than one type of relationship? How utterly bizarre and pathetic. Elena is the only reason the brothers haven't murdered one another, so any relationship they do have is thanks to her.

reply

Lol, the brothers wouldn't be sending Elena off for them it'd be for herself. Stefan and Damon won't abstain from love for themselves. A brother endgame would be the story focusing on how they've came back together, Elena in all likeliness won't be the focal point of the finale. If Stefan's not jumping ship, Defans story will take precedent over Delenas and Sterolines.

Ian and Paul discussed how they would like an endgame to be for Defan to die together at the end of the series or for a Defan endgame. We will see though if their wishes overcome JP's need to make DE endgame.

Plec has stated she wants a Friday Night Lights happy ending. Ian is an idiot for thinking up that Defan dying on the beach scenario. They only want some sad ending bc of their aversion to ships not to mention they don't really care about Damon and Stefan's character development. They'd both prefer to play dark Damon and Stefan bc it's more fun for them. I can't imagine any fan of the show watching these characters go through insurmountable unhappiness and heartache for 8 seasons and not wanting them all to get the happy endings they deserve

reply

Or they think that Damon and Stefan's character development shouldn't be all tied to ships, just because of how some fans only see their character's importance in ships or which endgame they will get. And will only be happy if they get a certain's ships endgame.

It is the characters that they play and they do deserve to have to input on them since they are the actors that play them. They don't have to be mind for mind with shippers, just going along and saying things that make shippers happy or saying things that shippers want to hear.

Can't blame them at all, if they want to see development outside of ships for the characters. And it depends on what some would mean by "happy ending that they deserve". Some would only be happy if Elena returned for a Delena or Stelena endgame, they could write for Elena to decide that she is happy off on her own or write a Defan endgame where they live and are happy without Elena.

Don't see how that makes Ian an idiot, just because some only think that Damon's only endgame should be Elena. Ian is more rational about a Defan endgame, than some fans would be if they didn't get the ships endgame that they wanted. Some going as far to say that they would not support Nina in her career anymore if she didn't return for the series Finale, because they think that she owes it to them to come back and she is only important to some because of Delena, but they would drop her if they didn't get DE.

Just like how some accuse Ian of getting "personal" with his dislike of DE, but then it's some in the DE fandom who end up getting personal and attack him and his wife, because some are entitled to thinking that Ian is suppose to support DE, like they are entitled to thinking that Nina has to return to the show for them. WIth those types of fans it's no surprise or blame that any actor/actress would have a diversion to ships.

Individual fans have a different mindset on what happy ending would be proper for their fave anyway.

reply

This show is built on ships. It's the primary reason it has fans. So ofc most of us want the romantic ships we care about to be apart of the characters endgame. You can't tell me you wouldn't want a Bamon endgame. Ian and Paul don't care about development. I mean, listen to how they answer questions at cons. They're usually just making fun of everything or giving answers that have nothing to do with the question. They're over it, which i get. Fans of every ship can be horrible to these actors. Ive seen it on all sides. Ofc you've got nasty DE fans but there are normal ones out there too. I consider myself one of those.

It makes Ian an idiot bc he's not thinking of the fans. Do you want Bonnie to die in the end? I'm guessing not. It would be tragic for her to die and not get the happy ending she deserves as well.

The fact of the matter is, Damon and Elena's happiness is wrapped up in each other. It's how the story has been written. It wouldn't be development to negate all that in the final season

reply

Fans only care about ships for TVD right now because that's how the writers made it out to be. SO lots of fans will only care about their ships endgame, if the writers didn't bother to develop a characters importance outside of ships. How many see ELena's importance for how her story ends outside of Damon and would they be happy with Elena getting a ending that is happy but not with Damon?

The actors don't have the one tracked mind that fans do. I am a Bamon fan, but even Ian didn't say anything about a Bamon endgame really and was more about a Defan one. I wouldn't think that he owes to me for a Bamon endgame, if he is interested in a Defan one.

The ones who think that Damon and Elena need each other for a happy ending are mainly and only the DE fandom. While you have Stelena fans thinking that Elena's happiest ending is with Stefan. Which is why I said people's views of a proper happy ending depends on who they ship.

Not thinking that their characters importance has to be linked to a ship, doesn't equal them not caring about their characters development. To me Ian cares more about Damon's overall development than some shippers do. He calls out the awful and problematic things that Damon has done and doesn't sugarcoat it or excuse it. While some fans will whitewash and excuse Damon's wrong doings all in an attempt to defend Damon for the sake of their ship. The ones who say that Ian doesn't understand Damon, are the ones who think that everything that Damon says and does has do with Elena or be justified by his feelings for Elena. Damon can't have any motives or feelings outside of his connection to Elena for some. That type of one tracked thinking can get boring for any actor. Who wants their character to only be about one thing, for a series that last for 8 seasons?

I couldn't blame Paul if some of the most fun that he has had in filming scenes was when Stefan has stories/plots that was more about him instead of a ship.

And of course I would be happy with a Bamon endgame, but if that doesn't happen then I would be happiest with Bonnie ending the series alive. But, again because of the shows focus and obsession with ships, her death is tied to Elena's happy ending and DE getting an endgame. Because of how the writers set it up to be, people are cheering for Bonnie to die so that Elena can wake up and Delena can be endgame and have a happy ending over her corpse.

I'm irritated at the fact that my fave character ending the series alive may be ruined by the fact that the writers only cared about keeping the DE fandom invested and hopeful for a endgame until Nina's return and used Bonnie to do it, instead of having Elena leave town and come back. Bonnie is the one who would lose out, while mostly everyone else gets to end the series alive and happy and as a fan of Bonnie that would really be unfair.

The fact that the writers linked her death to a ships endgame, I can understand why the actors who have to act it out and deal with shippers online can get tired of having characters linked to nothing but ships.

reply

Exactly. It was done on purpose. Of all the ways to deal with Nina's exit, they chose this. I remember Julie tweeting about Damon and Bonnie during the first episode of season 7, she tweeted that Damon shouldn't be so mean to Bonnie, of course the responses were disgusting because it was all about it being Bonnie's fault that Delena, temporarily, couldn't be together.

No one mentions Bonnie's happiness for an endgame because she has been set up as the self sacrificing martyr for so long, it no longer matters, and this is what folks like Plec and Dries wanted. Bonnie's character is so far removed from happiness that if she does have a normal and somewhat bright ending, I'd be shocked.

This sudden 'epiphany' from Bamon fans is making me roll my eyes so hard. Did Bamon fans care about this at the end of season 6? They were so busy being glad that Kai was dead and that Damon "chose" Bonnie (because her life is worth 60 years of Elena's nap time! what low standards Bamoaners have for their ship) that they insulted the Bonkai fans who were pointing out the obvious - that it was extremely disrespectful and disgusting for Plec to write a storyline where Damon's Big Damn Hero moment was NOT sacrificing Bonnie's life for Elena's. And that with this story plot in play, there was no feasible way for either Bamon OR Bonkai to happen.

But the Bamon fans were so happy to have: Kai AND Elena gone that they didn't bother examining or criticising the long-term implications of that plot. The same fans that are criticising Plec for this now are the same ones who were thanking him for the exact. same. plot one year ago.

Suddenly everything offensive and ridiculous about Bonnie's storyline in season 7 - things that Bonkai fans were pointing out from EPISODE ONE - became obvious to them. I guess without Damon's dick being figuratively dangled before their eyes, they suddenly started facing reality.

While Elena and Caroline fans biggest worry is whether or not Delena/Stelena will be the endgame for Elena or whether or not for Caroline it will be Steroline or if she will cross over to TO for Klaroline after TVD ends. Elena fans can be confident that Elena will wake up either and you know that JP would wake ELena up if she could secure Nina's return.

While Bonnie fans have to worry about whether or not she will end the series alive. And JP talks about how Caroline has it going on in Season 8, while mentioning how Bonnie is in pain. magicless and on the verge of giving up. And going on a rescue mission to save Damon/Enzo, while she is not allowed to have a much fight for her own life, as she does for the others on the show.

Anyone who can't see the difference between how JP writes for Elena/Caroline to how she writes for Bonnie either doesn't care or doesn't acknowledge as long as JP give their fanbase what they want.

reply

Sadly that's been Bonnie's story since season 4. She starts out the season in pain/dead/no magic. It's like, when is enough, enough? I've seen non Bonnie fans question this, especially after it was revealed that she starts the season with no magic. This is like the fourth time that's happened. It's old.

Bonnie will never be treated like Caroline or Elena, according to these writers, she's only good enough to die for them.

I wouldn't rule out a tragic ending,IN vamplore, vampires are mostly written as tragic beings doomed to an eternity of loneliness and loss. I wouldn't want to see a tragic ending, not after I invested all these years following this tale, but you never know with this show.

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

reply

That ending would be a disservice to Elena.'

However, I don't think that they would've outright murdered each other. Even in season 1, Damon saved Stefan's life and Stefan was only going to put Damon in the crypt instead of killing him. He also saved Damon from the fire and sent Lexi to help him.

Damon also told Lexi to help Stefan back in the 1800s.

Who wants to live forever?

reply

You're asking this question as though Stefan isn't in love with her best friend now. Weird.

reply

The only happy ending I see is for Mystic Falls to be full of humans and no longer a place where monsters are people or people are monsters. Stefan and Damon should be able to start life over again naturally without Katherine or Elena's influence, Elena should start her life over without Stefan and Damon's influence and see where that leaves everyone.
Personally , I am a Delena fan, I love the underdog, but in this show I also care about all of the characters, , Jenna,Lexi, Rose,Bonnies Mom and Dad, Grams, John especially Sheriff Forbes!! Loved Liz!!
In the finale I would love to see a normal town full of normal people at a big town gig, dancing (Stefan too!!)and happy, as though they were meeting for the first time, a new decade dance .

reply

Does it not matter if Stefan wants her or not? I mean what if Elena wants Stefan which I dont think so but what if she wants him, doesnt it boil down to if he wants her anymore?

Klaus
return for special guess part for this season

what does his return about to do with Elena's selection between the bros?

As much as I like her to end up alone I think Delena is end game.
