When did actual skill become secondary to attractiveness

You know i understand that you would want a pretty girl in the lead but at the cost of quality to a already lacking movie is it honestly worth it. There are tons of beautiful women out there of can really act, i guess what im trying to say is i dont really understand the choice in Roise

Simple, they were running out of time and needed to find somebody to replace Megan Fox so Bay, while working on a commercial, asked Rosie if she'd be willing to do it, she agreed. She auditioned with Shia and the producers liked her so she got the part. She did fine with the material she was working with, I don't see how somebody else really could've took the character any further than she did given the way Carly was written.

1) She did a whole lot better than everyone expected

2) When did attractiveness come into play over skill? Seriously? Are you under the impression that actresses like Marilyn Monroe were hired for their acting skill? Play it both ways. Do you think women went to see Burt Reynolds movies in the 70's, Tom Cruise movies in the 80's or George Clooney movies in the 90's for their astonishing acting skill? LOL It has always been that way with both actors and actresses. Face it, sex sells alot more than great acting typically. If you are going to the theater and spending $10 on a ticket, another $10 on a drink and popcorn, do you really want to look at some plain actor or actress? No, you want to see one that you find attractive. Human nature.

For a movie like this noisy explodey crap, I don't care if the girl can act well. Rose looked great, I wish she was in it more so I ogle her like a perv..., she wasn't even that bad of an actress, certainly not much worse then Megan Fox.

You really wonder why Michael Bay prefers looks to talent?? Because he's a bad director.

But Rosie isn't a bad actor. The whole movie had bad lines and bad directing. Don't blame the actors for the material they're given.

Lommy: What if the wolves come?
Arya: Yield.

reply

What was wrong with Rosies lips. Surely not natural? It completely distracted from the little acting talent she may have had.

It's all about the tits and ass, no skill is required.
