Wonderful film ...
... I would advise however, if dogs are your life then the first half of the film may be difficult to watch.
Very inspiring story of the resilience of the human soul to survive.
8/10

I just watched it as well and enjoyed it very much. When the MPAA rating cited "animal harm," I assumed it had to do with the killing of wild animals for sustenance, so yeah, dog lovers be forewarned!
The movie reminded me of a book I read recently called "In the Kingdom of Ice: The Grand and Terrible Polar Voyage of the USS Jeannette."

Just finished it.
I thought it was good, and it was nice to see Jamie Lannister again. I think this is only the second film I've seen him in since the end of GoT.
The film is a bit slow, but it's shot well and is well-acted, and it's based on a true story of real survival and adventure. I didn't regret investing the time.
It is indeed a wonderful film, and well worth a watch.
