What, why not cast a trans person as Haller and a Black woman as wife 1 & 2.

His mother is Mexican and he looks like "more south of the border" in the books. I think Manuel Garcia Rulfo did a great job as Mickey Haller. His was a very close portrayal to what I imagined when I read the books.
I very much enjoyed the series.

From Wikipedia: Haller's mother was born in Mexico, and in The Fifth Witness, Haller himself says that he looks "more south of the border than north."

Feel free to redirect your dumbass outrage to bitching about the casting in some other show.
