So in the end, Boba was a supporting character in his own series...

SPOILERS

The ending shot proves this whole series was just a setup to resolve The Mandalorian/Grogu story.

reply

Cobb Vanth is a bacta tank = Mando show?

reply

No. Mandalorian going into hyperdrive while Grogu squeals happily in the droid cockpit.

reply

That wasn't the ending shot.

reply

Before the credits is the ending shot. After the credits is the bonus sneak preview.

It's a shitshow, and I hate that they shoved enough Mandalorian plot stuff in there to make me watch this pointless mess about a bunch of crooks fighting to be king of a grubby little pile of sand!

They must have realized the show was a mess very early on, because long before this was shown to any audiences, they made the decision that Fett and Fennec couldn't be trusted to carry the show. The decision to salvage it with "Mandalorian" plotlines had to have been made months ago, even a year ago. They knew they had a turkey.

This whole thing was a hot mess from beginning to end. I just finished it and honestly was a little embarrassed by what I was seeing.

Star Wars but 99% of it was on Tatooine. Haven't we had ENOUGH of Tatooine? I always assumed Jabba was the head of a large territory spanning solar systems and Tatooine is just where he resided.

Great idea to try to do mafia/Godfather but then ruin it with a lack of density. Boba has like 6 people in his crew and half are dorky teenagers on flying Vespas.

Boba moves slower than my grandpa.

A Wookie can get shot fifty times and still fight?

Uninspired action throughout the whole series... as usual with Star Wars - all the good guys have impeccable aim and the bad guys all stand there waiting to get shot.

The ending where the assassin kills all the competing family heads at the meeting... why didn't she do that in the beginning?

I can go on. I get this is for kids and there's a limited budget, but that just means the writing needs to be that much tighter.

That was my first thought when I saw the credits scene in "The Mandalorian". I thought "Sure, Boba might want to settle down at his age, but why Tattooine of all the wretched little planets in the outer rim?". That's my basic problem with the show, the fact that I don't give a rat's ass who wins the war over ruling, like everyone else on the planet I just want them to stop fighting.

So they took a bad idea and failed in the execution - I mean Mad Max-ish 80s Aussies on clunky bikes don't belong in "Star Wars" and the final battle was ludicrous! And they tried to save it by using it as Season 3 of "The Mandalorian", which I love, and made it impossible for me to just ignore it all. Foo.

I liked the basic premise of the Tattooine gang conflicts. I get tired of all the epic "save the galaxy" stuff and enjoy seeing something smaller-scale and grittier. I just wish the Mod Squad had been left out.

It was always going to be a holdover until the Mandalorian, so I had little expectations for it. I don't care about Boba anyway like the fan boys and all power to them.
This was boring, slow and underwhelming but it will do until the next show comes around. 6/10
