Certainly better than its 4.9 rating

It's a decent throwaway summer thriller. Certainly more credible than "Dark Knight" fanboys seem to like with all its ridiculous nonsense in NY or the self-same drivel in Avengers. I wasn't fond of the ending, but it definitely held my interest through the theme. I doubt anyone went in looking for a Bourne Identity caliber movie.

the worst movie i watched in 2012..

I was expecting a real stinker when watching this but its way better than the crap the haters here want us to believe it is. I gave it a 7.

sure there are some non sense and even hilarious scenes, one of them is he falling from the building and hitting other things and still being health to run,
but if you just get over it, and you need, most movies have some faults, even the best ones, you can enjoy it. The story and action was good enough to keep me entertained till the end.

Another thing to be bothered is that you really need to buy a couple of civilians defeating well trained agents, but, its a movie with its own story, just follow it and enjoy it for what it is, its not a masterpiece nor it is to be compared to artistic or great movies. A solid 65/100 from me :)

I agree. It certainly wasn't an amazing movie, but it was entertaining. I liked it. Sure, it was far from perfect, but it included a lot of action, a decent plot, and gorgeous views of Madrid. I was entertained, and isn't that the point with a movie? Who cares that it wasn't a 10/10 movie, like really. All that matters for me is if I like it, and I did. Like the OP said, it's a decent throwaway summer thriller.

I gave it a 7 out of 10. Some bits were off and the plot a bit convoluted but I was hardly bored and was invested story wise to know the end result. A rating of less than 5 is pretty ridiculous and really makes one question the rating system here and how flawed it is towards certain films yet beneficial to others.

it was hard to get thru.

I just never cared about any of the characters.

I give it a 4.

Cliché locations, herky jerky camera work, whoever this superman actor is , maybe pretty for some to look at but he's just a complete ham. Over the top, not one scene believable, this lead character should have been in the hospital the first 15mins and down. Cliché chase scenes of all the usual varieties & uzi toting Weaver looking more like Linda Hunt in this than Lind Hunt.

This Spanish actress was horrible with two expressions both of them crazy looking as her bable bable delivery, sound more like a cleaning maid on crack.

(even Bruce Willis looking sad in this)

Far worse than Avengers and about the same if not better than TDKR. 4.9 is generous. I'll take it over a Renny Harlin movie.

Only by .1 of a mark, if that...

Why shouldn't people be expecting it to match up to The Bourne Identity? Should we be happy with mediocrity in movies that don't have the same hype? Bull. The viewer should want every movie to be the best it can be. Maybe it didn't have a hope in hell of competing with something like The Bourne Identity, but I'd expect some effort to be unique, at least.

I disagree, from the pretentious gun battles to the over the top car chases. And Ms. Whatever's character was laughable. So 4.9 was generous. I gave it a 2.
