Really, out of all the stories of real people available to tell, why this one? Why give these two people any more oxygen in their superficial and vapid lives?
This is one thing that irks me about the entertainment industry - how it focuses on crap and especially with so much quality source material out there.

I am guessing that the Tonya Harding rehash movie - I, Tonya (17) did well financially.
When this happens, producers look at other 90's pop culture stuff and tries to reheat.
Because people will tune in. Nothing about art anymore. Just bean counting.
