Idris Elba vs. Michael Keaton

That will be the Best Supporting Actor race for the Oscars. I say Elba but they feel they owe Keaton for Birdman so he has to be the favorite.

reply

Keaton, yes but Elba won't even be nominated, guarantee it.

reply

And you were right!

reply

Well, they weren't right about Keaton getting nominated.

reply

Keaton was nominated for best actor for Birdman last year.

The OP must be drunk.

reply

Don't forget about Sly Stallone for Creed. That was a great performance.

reply

Don't forget Tom Hardy in The Revenant.

reply

Hello.

I think Best Supporting Actor will be the hardest category to judge, as others have pointed out Sly and Tom Hardy are getting huge buzz and raves for their work and Mark Rylance in Bridge of Spies is quite a popular pick as well. Should be interesting to see how the nominations shake out.

reply

I highly doubt anything from this movie will be nominated to be honest. The Academy will scoff at it because it is on Netflix.

Elba and Attah should both be nominated.

Come at the king, you best not miss.

reply

They should have, but you're right, the Academy did snub it, even though it did nominate a documentary on Netflix. I wonder if anyone, or at least enough of the Academy voters, even watched the film.

reply

Neither.

reply

Both were just ok, but Elba is slightly ahead.

It's ok to like more than one actor. :))

reply

I liked Elba's performance better.
