#6 would rate alot higher for me if the production was better. I have always hated the sound of the guitars and was shocked to hear Harris say he felt the same way. For years I thought I was the only one, lol. That first side (I'm showing my age) was f'n killer, than the second side was deep. Some of these songs are my favs.
There's a slight dip after #10, and a huge one after #12.

Wow, for the most part MLD is ranking pretty low. In most cases it doesn't even break the top ten. Looks like Maiden has some song structuring to think about for the next album.
shareIt's interesting as Maiden fans I personally know really rate AMOLAD. I wouldn't say it was a bad album & it pains me that I have put it so far down the list but I just prefer listening to the ones above it.
The only album I would say I actually on a whole don't like is Dance Of Death. To me it just screams Spinal Tap!
Other than that all their albums were great. It's just a question of some slightly more than others.
Hiya Cars :) yep, I am one of those who rate AMOLAD very highly (as you can see)...so i am finding the low - for the most part - ratings here interesting indeed.. Dance Of Death on the other hand is now not one of my faves....too much dancing and prancing for my liking!
