Would you get jealous? (a question for the guys)

While watching Chloe I tried to put myself in David's (Liam Neeson's character) shoes. And I have to admit, I wouldn't be the slightest jealous (I'm a guy by the way) if that was my wife cheating on me with another girl. Having some other guy sliding his tubestick in my wife is another thing, but another girl shoving her fingers in my wife is, well... OK. It wouldn't be what I would want to happen, but if it did, I can picture myself being bothered by it either.
Would you other men out there be jealous?

And yeah, to the psycho-analyzing inhabitants of the IMDB boards... why is it I'm OK with it?

You are thinking with your porno mind. You think it will be just physical sex and that is it but emotions will take over. Your jealousy and her questioning if she prefer woman over man. What if your wife says the woman satisfies her more than you do and leaves you after?

It is like a serious couple or married couple who believe that they can have be "open minded", have multiple partners and not be bothered. Lot of people think they can do it but very few can.

MadonnaBox you are either a child or a really immature man. Being cheated on and the violation of the act is purely an emotional battle. You feel betrayed and hurt thinking your partner can ever do that, man, woman, dog, horse... whatever. It isn't "hot" to see the one you love can make a judgement and go through with it. I guess this is the differnece between a *beep* and making love.

Liam also brushed it off it seem in the movie...

and of course i'd be jealous...i wish i had sex with Chloe instead of my gf..ha...no, to answer the question seriously, i wouldn't be jealous but i would be hurt by it all the same....

i'd probably break up with her just for the fact that her insecurity lead her into her own infidelity. I can't be with that type of woman.

I think I would be turned on and jealous at the same time. Probably more turned on than jealous however.

Anyways considering in the movie how Julian Moore explained to Liam how sex with Chloe was just a way to get close to him, I would actually be be flattered not jealous if I was Liam. Not to mention since they already had kids together, I would totally forgive her.

I couldn't believe how casual Liam Neeson's character was about his wife's infidelity.

reply

If he condemned her for it, don't you think that would make him a hypocrite?

Liam's character never cheated though. It sounded like he had lust for others in his heart but he never actually became sexually involved with anyone unlike his wife.

um u do know fingers is one of MANY ways girls have sex...

I understand why men wouldn't be too bothered by their wife cheating on them with another girl. I mean it's not like they can put their genitalia inside each other... But a man cheating on his wife with another man is a different story because you can actually penetrate...

No of course not, my wife can do what she wants. As long as she's getting pleasured by this other chick, & not being put in a dangerous situation I wouldn't care about it. Life is too short to be an uptight *beep* if you're
not open-minded, chances are your marriage is going to suck ass anyhow.

I would disagree with you Hester.. Men are not women.. and overall would feel less threatened if their wife/girlfriend were carrying on with another woman. The competition isn't there like it is with another man who could potentially replace them.

reply

hmmm... obviously, i'm not sure but i think that it would depend on the intensity of the relationship. if it was a romantic, intimate thing then yes, i think i'd be very jealous. but if it was just a quick fling and she didn't want to leave... probably not, honestly.

but as a lot of other posters have said, if it was a guy the situation would be completely different. it's not hard to understand why. a lot of it is competition and self-worth and what not.

Would a 3some help the situation?
