I love the genre, and desperately want a good invasion movie, this stupid series aint it.
I watched the first one, perplexed at how something so dumb could be popular. It had some great tension, but a ridiculously dumb creature and situation you could not possibly be in.
I did not see the second, and was just angry there was a third.
Well, I have found that complaining about something you cannot do anything about is a waste of one's energy. You don't like the premise? That's fine. Not every movie is everyone's taste. I personally have seen all three. The first, in my humble opinion, is a masterpiece of suspense and tension, with very little gore (I am NOT a gore hound but will understand the need for extreme violence and bloodshed if it moves the story along properly. I am a big fan of the original Dawn of the Dead)
I don't like the Fast and The Furious franchise. I watched the first one and was bored with it (I am not a "car guy"), but I understand that there are a lot of car guys out there that these films are right up their alley.
