Sony has dated a new film in its Insidious horror franchise from Blumhouse Productions for release on August 29, 2025, the studio revealed Thursday evening.

No further details about the project were disclosed, but this is not the Jeremy Slater-helmed Thread: An Insidious Tale, a spin-off starring Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani, on which we were first to report.

I hope it improves on the last one which I thought was a step up from 3 and 4, although nowhere near as good as 1 and 2

Sadly I doubt the series will ever rise to the heights of the first two, not unless James Wan decides to direct another installment.
