TLDR: Too much CGI, not enough elevator rape.

Bad:

Badly written, precocious "movie kid" ("You'll make a good mom someday, you know how to lie to kids" said by an approximately ten/eleven year old kid)
Generic feel
Overdone horror tension music/sound stabs like it's 2005
Predictable jump moments
Plot armour
"Remember chainsaws?"
"Remember 'I'll swallow your soul'?"
Bullshit woke casting

Good:

Scalping
Cheese grater
Book with claws was pretty cool
At least there were some practical effects

It was OK. 6/10, with 5.5 being an average movie

That kid was ridiculously written. There were a number of lines that made me balk. In the end, though, I thought it took the original Evil Dead 'rules' and worked them into a decent albeit cookie-cutter movie. Definitely agree with all your good points.
